US audiences will get their first chance to see I Know How Many Runs You Scored Last Summer when it makes its American debut at Florida's Freakshow Horror Film Festival which runs from October 17-19. Later in the month the film will be screened as part of the Madison Horror Film Festival in Wisonsin, running from October 25 – 27. And finally, The Runs will be making a triumphant return to the UK to screen at the Abertoir Horror Film Festival in Wales, which kicks off on November 12 and ends on November 16.

The film received a great response from the UK Frightest crowd at its world premiere. Director Doug Turner, who was in attendance, told Digital Retribution "Audience response was very good - plenty of chuckling in the right places (especially the protracted shower scene) and groans during the more painful death scenes". Will US audiences respond with the same level of enthusiasm though? The average American probably isn't up-to-date with all the latest cricketing lingo, but Doug is confident the movie will appeal to everyone, including audiences who may think a phrase like "Cracking one through the covers" is a slang term for an erection in bed - "The 'Cricket' in the film we think will be seen as 'quirky' and 'eccentric' in the US. True, it's a harder sell, and we may have to tweak some of the marketing material to concentrate less on the cricket (i.e. tag lines involving the Ashes will mean nothing!), but the good news is that we have interest from a few US distributors". He went on to say "Although the 'theme' of the film is cricket, it should appeal to cricket haters and lovers alike - in the same way that you don't have to actually like summer camps to enjoy Friday the 13th. Cricket haters will get a kick out of seeing cricketers getting killed, and cricket lovers will get a kick out of seeing various cricketing implements being used in violent ways!".
