Dawn of the George at MIFF!
Posted by: Craig on July 12, 2008. Share 0 Comments
The 2008 Melbourne International Film Festival will be paying tribute to George A. Romero with a retrospective featuring some of his greatest movies, as well as the Australian premiere of Diary of the Dead! The retrospective, presented by Umbrella, will feature 35mm screenings of Martin, Knightriders, The Crazies, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, and Land of the Dead, along with a sneak peak at the documentary Dead On: The Life and Cinema of George A. Romero, which is a work in progress.

Best of all, the great man himself will be a guest of the festival (his first ever trip to Australia I believe), and we will get the chance to hear him speak at  "In Conversation with George A. Romero" on Sunday 27 July, 7pm at the Coopers Festival, Lounge, Forum Theatre 1100. Be there.

Peruse the MIFF website for session dates and times - www.melbournefilmfestival.com.au
