The Monsterama Collection Kicks-off With a Jurassic Attack
By: Craig Villinger on March 11, 2013 | Comments

Have you ever sat around and thought to yourself "You know, there just aren't enough movies on Australian shelves that feature creatures great and small interacting with humans in a most unsociable manner"? Well, we have, and it looks like the folks from Eagle Entertainment have somehow listened.

Not to be confused with the output of Monster Pictures, Eagle has just announced the launch of its "Monsterama Collection", an ongoing series of cheesy B-movie releases that will feature everything from snow creatures to fire breathing insects to mutant snake/fish hybrids!

Stampeding across Australian shelves on April 23rd, the first title in Eagle's Monsterama Collection will be Jurassic Attack, a movie featuring that all too common scenario where a group of unfortunate individuals find themselves hunted by scaly prehistoric predators.

Starring Gary Stretch, Corin Nemec, Commando's Vernon Wells, and Rachel Riley, Jurassic Attack sees an elite squad of commando's crash land in a remote South American jungle after rescuing a beautiful kidnapped scientist. Miles from home and with no way of contacting the outside world, the group soon learns that they've barged into a lost dinosaur filled world, and with their supplies dwindling they must fight their way out before they become snack treats for the Jurassic creatures.

That looks like an appropriately cheap yet undeniably appealing start to the series, and the Monsterama Collection has a lot more to offer in the coming months! Other titles due out later in 2013 under the Monsterama banner include Piranhaconda, Dragon Wasps, Yeti, Return of the Killer Shrews, Poseidon Rex and Dragons of Camelot.

Pace yourselves folks, we've got a lot of cheesy movies ahead of us.
