The ReefIt's been several years since talented Australian filmmaker Andrew Traucki delivered his incredible debut feature Black Water (see the DR interview here) but he's now re-surfaced with what could be number two in a mooted trilogy involving humans and water-dwelling creatures that kill, The Reef. Best of all he wants you to be able to come on set and watch it as it's made when in a world first they stream live to the web from location in Hervey Bay, Queensland on Thursday, November 5 at 8.30am for several hours.

In The Reef five friends lives are thrown into extreme turmoil when their boat accidentally flips over and they're left stranded in the middle of the ocean only to be stalked by a Great White Shark. The small but talented cast includes Gyton Grantley and Damian Walshe-Howling (both from Underbelly), Zoe (Evil Never Dies & Virtial Nightmare) Naylor, Kieran (The Cave) Darcy-Smith and newcomer Adrienne Pickering who came straight from the lensed-in -Deniliquin horror feature The Clinic to be in The Reef. The producer is Michael Robertson who had the outback, killer truck flick Road Train in post-production just before The Reef started shooting early in October.

To check out the live stream of The Reef go to www.reefmovie.com and sign aboard. The site already contains a regularly updated director's blog and more info and graphics on what could be an Aussie horror classic in the making.
