ItemThis years A Night of Horror international film festival is fast approaching, and while we wait for the full line-up to be announced festival organizers have given us a sneak peek at their 2009 program!

Of the five films announced so far the highlight for us at DR Towers is undoubtedly the Aussie cricketing slasher I Know How Many Runs You Scored Last Summer, which will be making it's official Australian premiere at the fest ahead of a mid-year nationwide DVD release through Anchor Bay. Directors/producers Stacey Edmonds and Doug Turner will be in attendance for a Q&A session, and will also be part of a Horror Filmmaking Forum.

Another local movie making its premiere at A Night of Horror is Family Demons, a tale about an abused teenage girl who murders her alcoholic mother but is horrified to discover that even in death, the mother continues to make her life a living hell. You can learn more about Family Demons by visiting the official site.

Overseas imports Mum & Dad from the UK, Reel Zombies from Canada, and Stomp! Shout! Scream! will also be playing.

Now in its third year, A Night of Horror will be screening 14 feature films in total along with an assortment of shorts and music-videos, and will run from March 25 – April 3. Legendary Ozploitation producer Antony I. Ginnane and Lionsgate's Jon Dalgaard will be part of the 2009 festival jury.

More details about A Night of Horror are available at the festival's official website: www.anightofhorror.com.
